Dear Parents

Please allow your child to watch the video where I introduce our new theme, My Family.

I ask a few questions during the video - pause after each question and encourage your child to give an answer.  Talking about different family members will provide valuable opportunities to build up your child's vocabulary.

Complete the activity on PAGE 44

Your child must please draw a picture and colour it in. Send a photo once complete.

Let your child cut out the fans on PAGE 37 and 39. Remember to encourage the correct scissor grip.

Play the game with your child and ask different questions. Remember that learning takes place at every opportunity, even when playing.

Ask your child to show you different body parts.

1. Show me the body.

3. Show me the arms.

4. Show me the eyes.

Make the questions more difficult by asking for more than one thing:

5. Show me the shoulders and knees.

6. Show me the hands, fingers and nose.

7. Show me the lips and the hair.
